Week 3:teaching practice phase 1

This week saw fewer students compared to the other weeks. The dwindling student population might be due to the news of school closure from the 21st of January. This week I had afternoon duty. I had to make sure that students got out of their classes in a single line without causing a stampede..

17 th January 2022

Today I got two periods at 9 and got to complete a theory and its related problem. There'll be usually eleven students in this batch but today there were only 6. But the response from students made the low attendance seem like nothing. This batch was lagging behind but now they are with the other batch

18th January 2022

Today again I got two periods at 9. I used to give group activities but due to new rising COVID cases, I was instructed not to make them sit in groups. So, now I just make them sit where they are and divide them into groups as they are seated.

19th January 2022

I was free until 5th period, so I used my time to observe Sr Jeena's class. The class was about 'Electrolysis of Water'. Sr Jeena was able to motivate and maintain students' energy till the end of her class. This was what I liked most about her class.

20th January 2022

There were no classes for students up to the 8th standard. Few among us did not come due to this. I got two periods at 9 and almost completed the chapter.

Next week onwards we'll be having online classes. Looking forward to another phase in teaching practice.
